Indore: Col. Pratul Thapliyal, Commanding Officer of 128 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Ecological, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, was recognized with a World Book of Records Certificate of Excellence at a special occasion in Indore by Madhya Pradesh Governor Hon. Shri Mangubhai C. Patel.

Col. Pratul Thapliyal’s continuous dedication to environmental protection is demonstrated by the vast number of seedlings he planted at the Military Station, Jaisalmer, in just one hour. The occasion raised environmental awareness within the military community in addition to making a major environmental improvement. Col. Thapliyal’s efforts to conserve the environment were particularly acknowledged at the felicitation ceremony. His tree planting initiative prompted people to raise their awareness of environmental issues and brought attention to the need for a green movement in society.

The dignitaries who graced the ceremony included Mr. Simon N Ovens DL, HM The King Charles III’s Representative from  London, Spiritual Leader HH Shri Rajrajeshwar Guruji from London,  Justice V.K. Shukla, Madhya Pradesh High Court Bench , Mr. Swapnil Kothari, Chancellor of Renaissance University,  Collector Ashish Singh IAS,  Mr. Mahendrasinh C Jadeja from London and Prof. Dr. Rajeev Sharma, Prominent educationist from Indore . The ceremony was also attended by prominent figures from the United States, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Nepal, Dubai, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Romania, Canada, Mauritius, and 25 Indian states.
