Burhanpur : Mukesh Darbar & Group from Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh, has been included in the World Book of Records for performing 24 hours continuous folk dance showcase, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Nimar region. The group, consisting of 10 talented artists, performed traditional Bhagoria, Fagua, and Gangaur folk dances continuously from March 1 to March 2, at the Parmanand Govindjiwala Auditorium, Burhanpur. This extraordinary achievement was presented by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, Bhopal, and the District Archaeological Tourism and Culture Council, Burhanpur. The prestigious certificate was bestowed upon Mukesh Darbar by Dr. Tithi Bhalla, Chetna Nichania and Apoorva Menon officials of the World Book of Records, in the presence of Former Cabinet Minister Archana Chitnis, Nepanagar MLA Manju Rajendra Dadu, Collector Harsh Singh, Additional Collector Veersingh Chouhan, SDM Pallavi Puranik, and other distinguished dignitaries. This recognition not only honours the dedication and talent of Mukesh Darbar & Group but also brings global attention to the vibrant folk traditions of the Nimar region. The ceremony stands as a testament to Madhya Pradesh’s rich cultural legacy and its continued efforts to preserve and promote traditional art forms on an international stage.
