Surat : Ghoomar, a traditional folk dance of Rajasthan, is known for its graceful circular movements, vibrant costumes, and deep-rooted cultural heritage. This record-breaking ceremony was a celebration of Rajasthani traditions, bringing together participants from various backgrounds to showcase their love for the dance form. Rajasthan Yuva Sangh has made history by organizing the largest Ghoomar dance performance in traditional attire, featuring 12,000 participants at Marudhar Maidan, Surat. This spectacular gathering, held on March 30, 2025, has earned a prestigious place in the World Book of Records for its grandeur, cultural significance, and massive participation. The participants, dressed in colorful Rajasthani attire, swirled and moved in perfect harmony for 30 minutes, creating a mesmerizing spectacle of unity and rhythm. The ceremony witnessed an overwhelming response from cultural enthusiasts, dance lovers, and the local community, making it one of the most iconic cultural gatherings in recent times. The certificate was bestowed to Rajasthan Yuva Sangh President Vikram Singh Shekhawat from WBR Gujarat President Dr. Ashwinbhai Trivedi & Vice President Randeep Singh Kohli. On this occasion, Union Minister Hon’ble C. R. Paatil, Minister of State for Home Affairs Hon’ble Harsh Sanghvi, Former MP of Rajasthan Hon’ble C.P. Joshi, and other dignitaries were also present in large numbers.
